Located about 20 miles northwest of Fort Lauderdale, Coral Springs is a planned community in Broward County that was chartered in 1963. Developed by Coral Ridge Properties, the city has stringent construction, landscaping, and signage codes that contribute to its upscale atmosphere. Properties in Coral Springs typically retain higher values than similar ones in other parts of Broward County. In 2007, the population stood at just a little over 125,000.
